    crashing while uploading

Our actinic 7 is freezing (not responding) when it gets to sending the base files - nothing appears to have changed on the system except a recent windows XP update to service pack 2 - on a broadband connection and has uploaded fine in the past (but with the occassional problem) any ideas why it might be crashing?

    Hi there

Possibly could be XP firewall turned on, when you installed SP2? For testing purposes, have you tried to disable the firewall in Windows XP, then try to upload again.

    Please check this

Have you got 'use passive ftp' selected?

              Sending Base Files Uploading Problem

I have the same problem since yesterday 11-17-04 sometime in the afternoon MST. THe "Sending Base Files" is checked so I assume the program crashes on next task. I was using V7.02 and had to reinstall Actinic again. It has happened again today, so I guess I have to install Actinic now. I get an error message saying "The parameter is incorrect", but I can preview my work okay. -I think I got the "parameter incorrect" message while exporting the catalog too. In any case my export did not work correctly and now I will have to re-enter all my data.

                  Hkanaris,

No, Passive ftp is not selected
Try selecting passive ftp. If you have a firewall or DSL router somewhere in the path to your server then passive ftp solves many access problems.
