Sub-pages in Brochure

Am surprised to find that sub-pages cannot be created in the Brochure section?

1) Why has Actinic precluded the addition of sub-pages?
2) Have any Actinic gurus found a workaround for this?

Although have included all the product related bumph into the catalogue there are just somethings that need to be in the brochure section. Really don't want to have to produce a separate 'brochure' and bolt the two together.

Hi there

Brochure Pages are simply just pages in before the store, if you wish to have an hierarchy within the brochure pages, then my only suggestion would be to create your brochure pages as normal. But edit the brochure navigation to reflect the different stages of the page. This can be achieved by having multiple Act_BrochurePrimary.html and possibly hardcoding the navigation links.

I appreciate your workaround but for a constantly changing website [one of several constantly changing] this would be would be an absolute pain to keep up with.

As the catalogue allows sub sections can't quite see why Actinic has gone to the extra work of writing code to preclude the adding of sub-sections to the Brochure in the first place.

NB. We moved to Actinic Developer because of limitations in the shopping cart software we were previously using, but this seems to be such a basic and unnecessary limitation to a program that, after just uploading our 1st Actinic development site, we are generally well pleased with [well so far anyway ]
