Breadcrums...

Hi there, I know that breadcrums exist when you are in the Online Catalogue section of a site but is it possible to have breadcrums on every page from the homepage? I was thinking of doing something with the SECTIONTREE_NAMES and _URLS section lists but could someone point me in the right right direction (if it's possible that is).

    Cheers

It is not possible to do it automatically as is the case with the section breadcrumbs, but the way we do it is as follows:

    1. Design the main Brochure page to its completed state (less the desired breadcrumb), but with a marker of say BREADCRUMB.

    2. Once fully completed, then do a Save As for the brochure template and call it Act_BrochurePrimary home and within this locate the BREADCRUMB marker and replace it with your own breadcrumb text/style, i.e. "Now in: Home". and assign this template as the Home Page brochure template.

    3. Go into the normal Act_BrochurePrimary template and locate the BREADCRUM and change it to: "Now in: Home | NETQUOTEVAR:PAGETITLE"

Easy way of changing the Home to a link would be the full thing as follows:

    Now in: Home | NETQUOTEVAR:PAGETITLE

or link the href as you see fit.

That should then have the effect of telling people in the breadcrumb that they are at the home page (when in that brochure page) and for all others tell them the page they are in now (Brochure page title) whilst providing the usual link back up the chain to the home page (as all Brochure pages are only ever 1 link in from the Home page).

    Hope that helps and bit.
