Improving Listing on Internet Search Engines

I've got a reasonably successful store on the net made with actinic 7 (can be found via www.westecperformance.co.uk)

I sell a lot by word of mouth and through websites I sponsor. I would like to sell more through search engine findings.

The store already shows when searching for certain items through google but I would really like to improve it.

Whats the best way to make your actinc site more search engine friendly?

    Cheers,

    Grant

    Poor results with search engines

I also seem to have a successful store from advertising and word of mouth, however it would seem that most search engines ignore my site. I even purchased 'Internet Business Promoter' and still have problems with rankings on the major search engines such as google.

Is this something to do with the layout of Actinic?

    Anyone have any ideas?

One of the main reasons Google does not index you well is summed up in this page:

You needs links and lots of em.

Two words for you, google adwords

            Many thanks,

I already use Adwords and this is where most of my traffic comes from.

Well anyway... the Google link just says:

Your search - link:http://www.germania.ltd.uk/westec/index.htm - did not match any documents

The point being, the first thing you could try is to ask others for links to your site, as this is the core principle behind Google and others. Currently no one links to your site.

There are very good articles if you type "SEO strategy" into Google.
