    Text Links

    Hi all. First post!

I have been using A7 for about 3 weeks and am grasping the steep learning curve!

One thing I am trying to achieve is the use of plain text links instead of images.

I have consulted the manual & help text to no avail.

Please could someone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

You can manually create most links that actinic would generate by using things like NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBCARTLINK, NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBCART TEXT, which you then place into a HREF like

    <a href="NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBCARTLINK">NETQUOTEVAR:NAVBCARTTEXT</a>

Each navigation button has this manual ability, SITEMAP, MAIL, CHECKOUT, INFO and so...

If you explore the various built-in Themes you'll find that several use plain text links for the navigation. Especially the "Clean and Simple" ones. It may be easier to start from one of these and alter to suit your requirements.

However if you change themes you will lose any customisation you have already done to existing Templates.

        Hi Dylan

Within the v7 folder you have a starter guide folder (C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Starter Guide). Here check out the designguide.pdf which will explain a bit more on how Actinic templates work.

Please have a read through it.
