    vat rounding

    Dear Community

Can anybody advise me on product pricing and vat.

It seems to me that I have to enter vat exclusive prices into catalogue - because catalogue by default adds vat and displays it in the basket/checkout areas.

The upshot is though that on a handful of products I can't get the product price to be rounded to the figure I'd like - its either x.99 or x.01.

Moreover for some products where I can get a rounded figure - eg £44 - if three are ordered the customer gets charged £132.01 due to rounding on the VAT.

What is the best way to resolve these issues?

    Thanks

This is a WAD... works as designed, apparently. I am having the same problem. I think it will be addressed in the future.

It's an Actinic limitation because prices are stored internally in pennies. If you search for "VAT Rounding" you'll find many discussions on this. There are clumsy solutions involving setting custom tax amounts for those "penny out" products.
