Site front page - comments

Hi there. Although generally happy with the look and feel of our website, we think that the front page is a bit rubbish. The site itself does good business and even now in wet November we are very busy, so thats ok I guess.

Could anyone send some constructive comments about how the front page could be improved?

Your current front page serves no real purpose so I would either distch it completely and allow visitors to enter via the catalog index page

or use it to feature products, ie special offers or products which are seasonal

Hello Jez,

I think if it was my site, I'd be tempted to get rid of this first page and have people go straight to the home page.

This is only my opinion remember, but the reason or purpose of the first page is unclear. Not convinced it's doing anything for you or visitors.

I like the site though. Loads nice and fast (at least on broadband!) and navigation is clear. From what you say it's obviously working well for you.
