We are currently looking to running a campaign where if the customer sees our add, a number will be given e.g promo1, and if the customer then places an order with us and buys the product he will then get another product for free.

How can we implement this??

Hello

You need to set your coupon code and then for the 'Reward Type' you would set it to '£ off'. Then for the 'Reward Amount' you set it to be the price of the Reward Product.

For example when someone claims code ABC123 as their coupon, they are given the chance to buy Widget A (normally £1.50) for a Reward Amount of £1.50. Alternatively the Reward Type can be set to % off and you can make the Reward Amount 100.

So it will not automatically put the free product into the basket upon checkout??

No it provides a link to the product(s) or group which the customer adds to cart and gets the discount after ading it.

If you offer pounds or % off the order on entering a coupon it takes the discount immediately but not with products.
