    hi Tracey

The test order I placed was within test mode, therefore no you wouldn't download it. I've now removed the testmode files from the server.

It seems that changing CGI script ID is the fix although it would be good if Actinic investigated this, as it seems to be new behavior to V7.

I would leave off 7.02, or at least read the forum about the bugs it has to see if they will affect you. 7.03 maybe a safer bet, although I don't apply patches until they have been around for at least a month, you know what you are getting that way!

Hi - I have just had this problem trying to upload a site after upgrading from v6.03 to 7.03. Luckily I found this thread after messing about for about an hour thinking it was something that I had done wrong. I changed the script id from 1 to 2 and uploaded the site. I then changed it back to 1 and again it uploaded fine.

Maybe Actinic could answer if this is a bug or not.
      Regards
      David

        Hi David,

When you upgrade to a major version (ie 6.x to 7.x), you need to do a "Web | Refresh" website rather than an update to the site. The refresh will regenerates the 7.x perlscript and upload them for you. Changing the script id will regenerate the 7.x perlscripts as well, but does not touch/modify the .fil files which are important.

        Kind Regards

Hi Nadeem - I did try a refresh rather than a update originally and this is where the problem occurred. It was only after I changed the id number that I could get it to work.

When the problem occured there was no error message displayed but if you hover your mouse over the tool icons you get the hour glass displayed and I am unable to do anything else. Eventually I had to terminate the Actinic process. This happened on every occasion.
          Regards
          David

Just had this problem on a 7.05 site that I was converting for a new domain name.

Again changing the script id and then changing it back resolved the problem.
            Regards

...or maybe not. I now get this message which is better than it just hanging...

"The web server returned an unknown response.

Upgrade Perl on server (needs at least 5.002)

Disable extended ftp and try again - this will reduce you to one FTP connection instead of automatically making multiple connections.

Hi Bill - 2nd problem actually turned out to be the server being down - I was unable to view the website.

Could it have been this that caused the first problem
                  Regards
