Netbenefit Windows Settings

I'll be damned if I can get this catalog to set the correct network settings on a Netbenefit Windows server. I get the following error when I do a test

Unable to create a file in the web page directory.

Permission denied

Unable to create a sub-directory in the web site directory.

Permission denied

With these error, we normally suggest posting your network settings, (with username and password blanked out) as it could be a setup issue.

If it has been working fine, then the error suggest that you are on a window server, so i would suggest in contacting Netbenefit, and advise them to set the /acatalog/ and /cgi-bin/ folder to have a permission of

Full Control
Modify
Read and Execute
Read
Write

Hi there

I would recommend for your catalog url and cgi-bin to have www in front of them.

Also as this is a windows server, where it says "Path from CGI-BIN to acatalog Directory", put there ./acatalog/ instead of ../acatalog/

Where it says Path from CGI-Bin to acatalog as viewed by the ftp server (leave blank unless advised), put in here ../acatalog/

These are normally the settings for windows servers.

I tried those settings which gave the following error message:

The directory specified as the path from the CGI-BIN to the acatalog directory does not exist on the web server. Check the path. Also see the on-line help for "Path from FTP server to Catalog".

On clicking OK it gave the following:

The script does not have permission to write to the web site directory.

Hi there

This is a permission issue, the /acatalog/ folder and /cgi-bin/ folder has to be setup with the following by Netbenefit:

Full Control
Modify
Read and Execute
Read
Write

If this is not set, the actinic will not work. You could try transferring to a linux server, at least you will be able to change permission.
