    CVV2 not downloading with order?

OK, I'm not sure why this is doing this but I have lost all my CVV2 numbers for all my VISA paying customers.
    www.chariotsonhire.co.uk/acatalog.
I'm using the Actinic built-in encryption to capture the card details.
I have Visa credit and Visa Debit set up as payment options (amongst the usual others but they're working fine) and neither are sending ME the Cvv2 numbers.
It is prompting for it at checkout and even when I did a test purchase and entered it myself, it didn't download into the order info.
Obviously, I can't process the payments without it.
So, why wouldn't it be downloading?
I have it as a required field for ALL card types (in business setting, payments and security, capture card details for processing later and I have it configured to ask for the CVV2 in all cases.
It's just not downloading with the order/payment details.
Any ideas? It's very unprofessional-looking of me to have to contact EVERY customer who pays by Visa for their security number!
    Cheers

    Hi there.

Do you have one machine to upload, and one to download the orders? If this is the case, can you make sure that the CVV2 options are selected in the download machine.

    Hope this helps.

        Hi there.

I notice you are using the java applet, I wonder if there is a problem there. Could you disable it quickly, upload your site and run a test, does the Cvv2 come down ok? When you have done your testing, switch it back on again.

Let me know how it goes.

          ok, dumb question.. LOL
Firstly, how do I "turn it off" and what sort of "test" do I do?
Sorry to sound stupid.. I'm not quite with it today (recoving from damned sickness bug!)
          Cheers, Tracey

            Hi Tracey

Hey, no worries - I know how you feel :-)

To disable it, go to 'View | Business Settings | Payment and Security' Select 'Credit Card Details Capture For Later Processing' then click 'Configure Method' Next, select the 'Standard SSL or unencrypted' radio button.

            That should do it.

              hmm..
OK, I tried that and then placed an order using my own Visa card.
Every time I tried to use a Visa (the only cards I have, both credit and debit) it came up saying Visa is not a recognised card type?
              Huh?
Could you test it for me, please?
I couldn't get it to even do a test transaction so I haven't changed it back yet.
Meanwhile, of course, I do have unencrypted card details pages so I'd appreciate a swift reply, if poss, as I need to change it back in ase someone tries to order (esp if they use a visa!)
              Cheers

                Hi there.

I checked it and the java applet is still there. It also allowed me to use Visa as a card option. Is this not happening for you?

I've fixed it by deleting the visa and delta options and adding them in again afresh

                        Hi
One of my customers is having the same problem with CVV numbers not downloading with orders.

They are using the java applet, and use different machines for uploading catalog and downloading orders. Does anybody know if enabling CVV on the download machine is the answer to this problem?

sounds like a logical suggestion to me
