I was hoping for some advice regarding how our company uses Actinic.
At the moment I am responsible for the maintenance of the site (adding new products, changing templates, marking items out of stock and homepage changes) at my office and we have another office where all the stock is kept and the orders are sent out from (they use order manager over there).
What we are hoping to do is shift more of the work over to the other location so that they can do their own amendments but I will still make the occasional change to products and the site.
This is where it gets tricky. I know that if we buy an extra copy of Developer for the other location we can send snapshots backwards and forwards. The problem is that when one person is doing some work the other person cannot touch anything (except download orders) and this will be happening many times a day. Also, everytime a snapshot is imported the site will have to be refreshed.
Has anyone any ideas of a way of working around this?
PS. I wish there was an Actinic Server version.
