Software minimises when changing site

Has anyone else seen this issue?
When changing sites in Developer, the chosen site opens then instantly minimises and you cannot restore it again.
The only way to then close the software is by task manager, re-opening the software then opens into the correct site. It is minimised, but you are able to restore it this time.

The version is v7.0.2.EGSA, the OS is XP home SP2.

Is anyone aware of a virus perhaps that can cause this or similar?

This happened to me last week. I ended up with a really small control box at the top right of the screen. Once it was restored it was okay and has not happened again.
