Another CUSTOMVAR bug?

Under version 7.02 our CUSTOMVARS work with individual products but not if they are defined for the entire product section. This worked perfectly fine under version 6. We are now missing information on dozens of products. While we could remove the CUTOMVARS from the sections and add them to every single product, this is extraordinarily time consuming. Is this our only option right now? Is anybody else experiencing this one? It seems there are a number of issues with the CUSTOMVARS under version 7 and higher.

This has been recognised as a bug in v7.0.2 and is due to be fixed in v7.0.3. I'm afraid that you have already found the only workaround at the moment which is to add the CUSTOMVAR value to each product.

Note that this workaround does not always work if you have products at different levels of section.

e.g.

Section1
--- P1
---P2
Section 2
--- Section 2.1
------P3
------P4
--- Section 2.2
------P5
------P6
Section 3
etc.

In this case sometimes the CustomVar defined for product P2 behaves as if it were a section default for Section 2.1 or 2.2.
