    iDevAffialiate-Affiliate scheme requirements

    Hi all,

I've been looking for an affiliate scheme for a while and was interested in iDevAffilate for its price and "ease" of installation. I can't say anything about the ease of installation as I havent tried it yet but I got this info from their support.

I need to be able to

We haven't done either of these integrations before. If you can get the sale amount and order number variables after a purchase is made, you're fine
Can anyone tell me how easy this will be to do with Actinic?

    Thanks
    Ken

PS. Then I will report on the ease of use for the software

It's in the Advanced User Guide - check that first.

http://www.dtbrownseeds.co.uk - More seeds and plants....

Thanks for all the advice. Now to finish it all off...

I've installed the affiliate script and I need to insert a snippet of code into act_order04.html - thing is, where do I need to put it?

        Thanks

PS. I checked the advanced user guide to formulate the code but it doesn't tell me where to put it

          Hi Ken,

Is this something visual to look at or hidden to the user?

If it is hidden, then you could try putting it right at the end of Act_Order04.html.

            Nadeem,

Its hidden and the very end was where I put it

Letting the developers of the software test it now, I've got mince pies to eat

Problems with passing NETQUOTEVAR:ACTINICORDERTOTAL to external script

I'm passing NETQUOTEVAR:ACTINICORDERTOTAL to my affiliate script but for some reason the order amount is ten times what it should be

Any ideas why and suggestions for getting round this/

              Thanks

Our tracking scheme, which is essentially the same as an affiliate of sorts uses the following code in the Act_order04.html template:

                <img src=".....tracking/act.php?id=389471405&amount=NETQUOTEVAR:NUMERICORDERTOTALCGI&transid=
                NETQUOTEVAR:THEORDERNUMBER&trackall=1&domain=DOMAIN.co.uk

                Have you tried this?

                  Hi,

That works now, but I want to pay my affiliates a percentage on the subtotal without including p&p costs.

looked through the advanced user manual but cant find any variables that list that.

I also couldnt find the variable I'm passing right now! is there a comprehensive list of them?

                  Thanks

                    Hi Ken,

I'm afraid there is no netquotevar variable for the subtotal excluding p&p. The netquotevar available are only for order number and order total.

                    Kind Regards

                      Hi Ken

Not sure how far you are with the integration but have you looked at allafiliatepro, I was looking some months ago and decided to opt for it and it seems to work well with actinic.

                      see link
