SMS Text Messaging

Does anybody know of any plugin / software whereby we could SMS customers when their order has been shipped?

There are email to sms services where you send an email to an address in the form 'phonenumber@smsemailgatewayname.com' that would allow you to do this.

I think you'd have to enter the address yourself as I'm not aware of any plugins that could help.

Orange offer something like this - its not free though, think its about 7p a text.

Not quite sure what you're saying, but the difference between this and the orange service is that you don't have to have an orange monthly phone account.

At least that's what I take from this (talking about the orange service):

You'll receive a monthly Orange bill as usual which will also show the total number of text messages sent from all the PCs associated with the contract Orange phone.

When I looked at orange it tagged on your mobile number as the sender. then all my customers started phoning my mobile at all times of the day and night.


it also added 'from orange' to the text which didnt look to cool
