    Emailed receipt page

    Hi,

Does anyone know which file I need to change to edit the text on the receipt page you get emailed to you when you purchase something for example it looks like this:

    -------------

    Dear Name,

The following order has been shipped to your delivery address:

    __Invoice Address and Deliver To________________________________

    Email Address: name@demo.com

    __Customer/Recipient Details____________________________________

    Name
    1 address line
    2 address line
    3 address line
    Post code
    United Kingdom
    Phone Number: 00000 000 000
    Fax Number:

    etc etc......................

    -------------------

The client wants to edit it himself but im the site designer and im slightly concerned it might be a bit difficult to change if he does not have much practice in html.

Big thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Well Dave you're right and wrong

In this template you can edit most of the email but you can't change :

      __Invoice Address and Deliver To________________________________

      __Customer/Recipient Details____________________________________

      etc ...

These headings are unfortunately locked away in the bowels of the application. There is a task outstanding to change them, but I'm afraid that for the moment there is nothing you can do.

          Hello Chris,

          Thanks for the info.

I hoped it could be changed because my French customers won't like mixed (English-French) emails

            And I can understand why.

It has been raised as a critical task and will be fixed in the next intermediate release. I can't give a date when that might appear though.

                Hello Chris,

Have you got a date for this "problem" to be fixed ? (I've got more and more customers who want us to send them such emails, but I can't do that right now with mixed French-English emails).

                Best regards,

                Jacques

No date I'm afraid Jacques. The problem is that it is a change to the database, which will affect people upgrading the software - therefore we cannot just put out a quick patch with the change in.

                    Hello Chris,

Is this something that can be changed by editing some fields in the .mdb file ?

If yes, then can you tell me in which table ?

                    Many thanks,

                    Jacques

                      No. Sorry.

Currently the data is included via the executable. In order to make the fields editable, we will have to create new fields in the database containing these text prompts, and change the executable to use the values in these fields.

It is not something you can do yourself. I'm sorry.
