Help! Update crash.

Hi.

My first major problem with Actinic.

Upon selecting Update - Actinic opens the Check and Send Files pop-up. The checking catalog... message appears but then almost straight away Actinic crashes - with the Catalog - Internet Sles Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.

This has been working fine. The only change to my files was a replacement image - I replaced a jpeg for another of the same name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The most common solution to most application crashes is to reboot. Also try compact databases.

if that doesn't work, take a snapshot and a copy of site1 and then reinstall the software.

Switch off/reboot and compact databases unsuccessful. I will try reloading Actinic.

Just to complete the story - and for reference to other fourm users.

I raised a call with Actinic who were excellent in resolving the issue. I wouldn't suggest anyone do this but have included it for reference:


1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Sites\Site1 folder and find ActinicCatalog.mdb. Double click to open it in MS Access
2. You will find a list of tables. Find the table ProductProperties. Open this.
3. Scroll right to the bottom to the field which has 720 in the nPropertyID field. Delete this record and save changes. Close the MDB file.
4. Upload site from Web | Refresh website.

Basically I had a dud product line. Not sure how it got there!
