    user definable field on separate delivery address page?

    Hi

    I would like to be able to add a 'Special Delivery Instructions' text field to the checkout page where a separate delivery address is entered (if you have 'selected ship to different address' option earlier).

    Can I just use the user definable field on the delivery address tab for this? [Phase 1, ID 13] Will it be passed through clearly to the packing list / invoice?

    Thanks in advance, Dan.

    What you want will work OK. However, there's a field that does just this on the Shipping and Tax tab.

    You can make this field bigger by changing the size="20" in Act_Order02.html line

    <input type="TEXT" name="DELIVERUSERDEFINED" size="20" maxlength="255" value="NETQUOTEVARELIVERUSERDEFINED">

      Hi Norman

      Thanks for the lightning reply. Thought you'd all be offline for Christmas by now!

      Isn't the "Special Delivery Instructions:" under shipping and tax the text for the field which appears on the first (invoice address) page?

      What I'm after is a similar field on the different Shipping Address page (only necessary if customers tick the ship to different address box on the former).

      Perhaps I've got the wrong end of the stick, I haven't fiddled with the checkout pages much before.

      Thanks again, Dan

        Yes, both the packing list and invoice will show what the customer has written for the user definable field.
