Login Page - lost navigation

THe problem is that all my web page horizontal navigation bars work correctly except my login page.

I have created an extra button called "About Us" and put it in Act_Primary, Act_Brochure Primary, and Act_ PrimaryCheckout.

In the login page, the "about_us" code snippet works but navigation bar Netquotevars do not.

Why does the login Navbar behave differently to the template Navbars. What options might I have in fixing this?

Workaround

I have changed the Navbars since the above post.

I put Netquotevar:NavbarInfo back into the catalog, and checkout navbars, and removed the new "about us" button.

The "about us" button will stay in the brochure page. So my login page is back to a blank navbar, which isn't the end of the world I guess.

It would be interesting to know why the login page/template acts differently from the others...
