Hi there,
Does anybody have any suggestions or tips for setting up a Customer Account for use as a promotion?
I have just set up a Customer Account with a price schedule attached to it that takes 10% off all prices in the store. I thought I might contact all past customers and give them all the login details for this one Customer Account, so they could access the discount.
This works fine, until the Checkout stage. Because the setting up of the Customer Account buyer seems to insist on names and addresses being entered (is there any way round this?) I get a 'Select one of the addresses below' option occuring in the Checkout, with the Customer Account main contact in one box, and the more usual address boxes being pre-filled with the rubbish I entered just to be able to create the account - is there any way round this - any editing of a Template that will stop this occurring? (my store is set up to allow only one address to be entered i.e. the billing and delivery address have to be the same). Being logged into a Customer Account really mucks this up.
I've attached a screenshot of what I'm getting in the Checkout while logged in - basically I want to get rid of the 'Select One of the addresses below' in big letters, then the black box with its grey header and radio button (filled with the 'Enter Address' rubbish I put into the Customer Account), and I also want to get rid of the address boxes being pre-filled with the 'Buyer' info I put into the 'Buyer' tab of the Customer Account.
Can this be done please?
Many thanks - this is the only thing standing between me and having some really good promotions, as far as I can see.
