losing the /acatalog/ part from the url

hi everyone..

i know this has been covered but i can't find it for looking at it, i'm just about to update our store and i need to get rid of the acatalog part (i'm sure u all know what i mean)

i want it to be that when people come onto our site (www.thefilmstore.com) they go straight to the first index page that actinic creates. at present this is in the /acatalog/ folder, which is the one i'm trying to get rid of..

can you install directly to the root folder, i'm sure i've seen this on other peoples sites and is something that i really want to do before i upload cause i'm using a bounce index.html page at the mo and i know thats not a good idea with search engines etc..

any help would be appreciated as i'm also having to cope with a dead laptop..
