Snapshot error message-System error 3 - The system cannot find the path specified.

I upgraded to V7 from V6. When I try to export I receive the following error:

(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 563) - The file C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1\PreviewHTML\P_index.html was not found System error 3 - The system cannot find the path specified.

I noticed the path is pointing to V6 not 7

    Can anyone help?

That's also odd because it's pointing to a preview page (P_xxx.html).

Have you hard coded a link to the preview page somewhere? This is what normally creates these kind of errors. A link to a file that actinic thinks should be included in the snapshot, but can't find because it's usually one it creates itself.

PS. This is a benign error in that it's just a warning and has no impact on the snapshot.

PPS. I've asked many time for actinic to actually identify the source file and line that generates this error but so far they haven't done anything about it.

No I havent hard coded anything. I always thought it was a benign error also but it seems to be a fatal error because the snapshot is not saving.

Copy everything from Actinic Ecommerce v7\Sites\Site1\PreviewHTML\ to Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1\PreviewHTML\ and rerun the snapshot - see if you still get the same error...

personally, I'd copy out the whole site1 directory from Actinic v7 to a safe location, uninstall both copies of Actinic (v6 and v7), reboot, do a clean install of v7, open it, close it, copy the site1 directory back again, close actinic, reopen actinic, then go thru all the settings and correct anything that's missing.

I've had to do it this way for a while due to the nature in which I split & linked our database to work with multiusers whilst retaining stock control abilities. If I use the snapshot or backup features it tends to blitz the tables from one of the other client machines.
        Cheers!

          Hi there

If you still have v6, why not just preview a site, so the file gets regenerated. One thing i would check in v7 is "Advance | Additional Files". Is there a reference to "C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1\PreviewHTML\P_index.html" here?

          Kind Regards
