Pound signs

Hi everyone,
I'd like to ask if there's any way of configuring v7 to completely remove the currency symbol from absolutely everywhere - the product page, the shoping basket, the checkout, the receipt etc. I need to remove the pound sign and replace it with "GBP". It's kind of an odd request. It's just that the Chinese version of Windows converts pound signs and the following numbers to garbles. We can't read pound signs and customers won't be able to either. Our only other choice is to price transactions in euro, although we'd rather not. Can anyone help?

Hi Tim,

If you have Access 2000, then in your site1 folder, you could open the "ActinicCatalog.mdb", and open the [currencies] table. Here you could just change from pound symbol in "SCURRENCY" to "GBP" and also do the same for "sAltPriceSymbol"

Also go into "Design | Option | Miscellaneous" and set "GBP" for "Use in Receipt Page".

Please change this.
