    Getting past the grey?

    Hi all

    I want to change completely my domain name but Web / Configure Web Site Details, Advanced / Network Setup & even View / Business Settings / Options are all greyed out. I have completely re designed the site and I imagine it has been disabled when it was initially designed for me a few years ago.

    I'm hesitant to go back to my initial designer especially as its my baby ive designed and i will probably be charged now not to mention the license cost nearly £700 at the time.

    Is there anyway these greyed areas can be used? Any help would be much appreciated

    these are usually greyed out if the site is running in TEST or HOST mode or you are running Order Manager rather than the full Actinic Catalog software.

    What does it say in HELP > ABOUT ?

    And in the menu WEB do you have Switch to Production Mode in the list?

      I imagine what has happened is that your designer used the 'Deploy Site Snapshot' function to hand over the site to you, and he selected to disable 'Netwok Settings' and 'Design Changes' in the deployed store. This is an option available to Actinic Developer users.

      There is a registry change available to re-enable these features in an Actinic installation, but I cannot publish them on the forum. If you send an email to communityadmin at actinic.co.uk I will send you the details by return of email.

        Many Thanks Chris & Gary, it is snap shot of the previous designed site that has been uploaded to my computer. Having installed actinic from new without exporting a site all relavent areas are now not greyed out.

        As the new site will again be completely re designed I will just start from scratch...problem solved!

        Am I right to presume that its quite an easy thing to change domain name with my server and go through the network setup wizard? Also as I already have an account with worldpay I presume that would be an easy transfer too? Any potential huddles to look for would be appreciated.
