Second site corrupts credit card details of first!

I have just purchased a second licence and installed a second site on my computer. This site is completely new apart form some templates that were copied over from Site1 to save some time.

However, after I have uploaded Site2 any orders coming through on Site1 have their credit card details corrupted. I get the credit card number and expiry date but any security code, issue number or start date is missing. Deleting Site2 and forcing a refresh solves the problem. I have tried every combination I can think of and the results are the same every time!

Does any know why this may be happening? I should add that Site1 is Business v7.02 and Site2 is Catalog v7.02

If they're on the same server but in different directories and share a common cgi-bin then you must use a different CGI Script Id # in Advanced / Network Setup.

        Norman,

Thanks for that but both sites have completely seperate domains, web addresses etc.

The odd thing is I get part of the credit card details but 3 fields are blank!

Are they hosted on the same server?

            Norman,

Yep, that would be it. Changed script id to 2 and all works well.

            Cheers for your help

Or so I thought. Have just uploaded once again and have the same problem. Script ID's are now unique (Site1 ID1, Site2 ID2)!

Also, both sites are hosted on seperate servers!

              Argh! Any ideas?

                Hi David

Please could you post the two url, so we can check your site, and find out where the confusion from actinic is coming from.

                Kind Regards

                  Nadeem,

I have actually send support copies of both snapshots and am currently awaiting their response.

                  Thanks for the message anyway.

                    Hi Dave,

I have tested out your snapshots in my software but cannot recreate the problem so I have passed it onto our development team to take a look at. I'll let you know as soon as I've heard from them.

                      Tracy,

Many thanks. In addition to what you already know I have done the following:-

                      1. Deleted .fil files from both sites
                      2. Generated Business Web Site - Worked fine
                      3. Generated Catalog Web Site - Worked fine
                      4. Went back to Business site and upload - nqset00.fil regenerated correctly EXCLUDING credit card info which appears to be taken from Catalog site, all ftp, address info etc is correct!

                      Hope this helps.

                      David

                          Tracey,

Thanks for your phone call. I have just tried as you suggested and it appears to be working but I will post again in morning when I have checked properly.

Hopefully we will there will be a fix soon so I can run seperate details if required!

                          Thanks for your quick response.

                              Hi David,

Just in case anyone else gets this problem, it is a bug in the software whereby the payment details cache is not being cleared when switching between sites. The workaround given was to make sure that the cards set in both sites are exactly the same, however, you could also do the following:

exit Actinic and reopen using '-s Site' option (ie, in 'Start | Run' and browse to your 'catalog.exe' file and add the command prompt after it so it looks something like '"C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Catalog.exe" -s "Site1"

                              or

after opening a site, go to View | Business Settings | Payment and Security tab and configure the allowed card types. I don't think anything needs to be changed, just opening and closing the dialog should refresh the cache.
