    frontpage

    Hi

I like layout of the templates in Version 6 but the main frontpage is a bit plain and as im not that good at html is there an easy way of adding banners etc to the frontpage on the left and bottom of the page.

Any tips or ideas would be great

You can use something like dreamweaver or frontpage to design your page and then include it in your code by either putting the markers !!< and >!! around the code and copying the new code into the brochure page, or by adding the code into it, you can use one of the existing ones, just add the page and save it with a new name.

    NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE <pagename.html>

    eg

    NETQUOTEVAR:INCLUDE titlePage.html

I do this for my front page and my downloads page.

If it is just banners that you want you could switch on the marketing message (business settings/terms and conditions) this will appear on most pages - I don't know whether you can include HTML in the marketing message though.

Do you mean the front page of the store or the front brochure home page? If you mean the front page of teh store then try opening Act_Primary.html (in your 'Site1' folder) in a visual HTML editor such as Macromedia Dreamweaver. This is the file that includes all your main design and navigation elements that appear on every page. You can add banners etc. in to this file.

If you want to change your Brochure home page then the file you want is Act_BrochurePrimary.html.
