    Actinic Link

I'm using Actinic V7 and Quickbooks Pro 2005
I'm trying to get the Actinic to Quickbooks link to work.
After i create profile and then connect to quickbooks i get
a "The Quickbooks Datebase containes no customers"
which is fine since i have nothing set up in QB yet.
    So i click ok.
None of my drop down menus have anything in them.
I and if i try to just click ok i get "Transaction Table must not be left blank"

Is there something that i'm doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    -A

    Hi there

Please check the help file on Quickbook, on the "Transaction" tab, you will see you got a default name here. Please set this as "Internet Shopper". You would need to create a generic customer in Quickbooks called "Internet Shopper".

Yes - the latest version of the US QuickBooks link (1.4) has been tested with 2005.

          Quickbooks limitations

I am currently using Quickbooks Pro 2003 but I am not sure if I want to set up Actinic to link to it. I recently learned that there is a limit to the data you can put into Quickbooks. I believe it is 14,500 customers, vendors, and transactions. The transactions can be archived but I do not think one should have to delete customers. Has anyone else ran into this?

Those limits depend on the QB version, as the limit goes up with the qb product - pro is more than basic and enterprise is even more as I understand it... not sure of the exact limits, but yes, there are limits.

Ok i created an "Internet Shopper" in QB. Now i get a QB does not have appropreate item for S&H error and still none of my drop down menus in Actinic Link have anything in them. (other than internet shopper in Transactions > default cust).

I and if i try to just click ok i still get "Transaction Table must not be left blank"

I have started a new company in QB and just about everything is blank. Is there a certain way that QB needs to be setup? The help file that comes with Actinic link isnt much help, i've followed it 100s of times but i still cant seem to get it to work. I basically have a default retail setup in QB 2005 pro. Do i need to set up defaults for every field that is listed in Actinic link? (i.e. carriage, transactions, payments, etc.)

              Thanks,

Sorry missed out answering this part, yes I'm afraid so, you would need to setup default for every field. If there is something you are unsure of, in the help file, there are images which have a default setup, try using that.

                    Kind Regards
