A Server error occurred while attempting to merge

Anybody any ideas as to what could be causing this?

A Server error occurred while attempting to merge server files 403
Forbidden (the ISA Server denies the Specified Uniform Resources
    Locator.

My client also has a problem that the download orders option is permanently greyed out.

Could this be related? I was told a site refresh would sort the greyed out text and enable order download. But it hasn't...

    Your esteemed wisdom appreciated

Are you both working on the same site.

If so are all the settings correct.

I set up the site on my PC at the office, copied the site files onto a CD and then loaded it onto my client's machine.

From my PC I can download orders, but on theirs the option is greyed out.

I had the same experience trying to load a different site from my office PC to my home PC. I created a zip file of the site, then loaded it onto my home PC. No joy.

Not tried refreshing the site from home as I was getting error messages to do with low disk space.

This issue has been rectified in my clients situation as they were getting similar messages.

the ISA Server denies the Specified Uniform Resources

This, to me, suggests that there is a firewall problem and Actinic, when it refreshed, was unable to complete the refresh as the file merge at the end did not work. Hence the download button was not greyed out.

Check that the URL of the cgi-bin can, at least, be browsed to from your customers PC.

Just for your info, from 6.1 onwards, the download button is never greyed out unless order processing is disabled.

Does this mean typing in http://www.website.com/cgi-bin and seeing if they can view this directory from their local PC?

Yes - you will probably get a '403 forbidden' error message, but at least it shows that it is working.

Ensure then you have set the 'Proxy' settings in 'Advanced | Network Setup' to 'Use Windows Defaults'.

My client already has these options selected in Actinic. Although they are not set that way on my local pC. They are running their email etc through a server, and prsumably a firewall.

Should the 'proxy' setting be checked?

Yes - you should click the 'Proxy' button in 'Advanced Network Setup' and select 'Use Windows Defaults' for both http and ftp.

If this does not work, search the knowledge base for 'Proxy' and you will find some further tips and tricks.
