    Not Uploading??

    Hi
I have just had to re-install my OS along with everything else, including Actinic.
I used a snapshot and everything was fine until i tried to upload my site.
All was going well until it gets to 'sending base files', then it stops and nothing happens,
Has anyone got any ideas, i've obviously done something wrong as it uploads fine on my other pc
    many thanks in advance

Check the cgi script ID and also the Housekeeping Security details

If using XP, then check the Windows Firewall settings and maybe add actinic as an allowed application to access the Internet, also check any other commercial firewalls you might have in operation if a connection is just not being achieved at all..

            Hi Wayne,

What operating system are you running, as mentioned by "Support @ Techno-Web Ltd", if you are running XP you could possibly have the firewall turned on, which is not allowing Actinic to upload.

Also just doublecheck the network settings between the two pc just in case.

            Kind Regards

              Hi Nadeem,
I am using XP but the firewall is set to allow actinic out. i am double checking the network settings again.
If this helps, i get this error message when i try a test in the advanced options of network set up

You do not have write permissions to the cgi-bin directory "/cgi-bin/".

                Hi there

This error message could be a red herring. You could try the ftp test, which is, open internet explorer and within the address bar type in the following:

                Code:
                ftp://username: password@serverhost
Changing the username, password and serverhost to your own details in "Advance | Network Setup". It possible something else is preventing Actinic for uploading, or even you don't have ftp rights.
                Please try this

                Kind Regards

                    Hi Wayne

Yes you have got ftp rights. It strange that on one pc it works, and on another it does not. What i would suggest would be to register an email ticket on the following address:http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm.
They may ask you for some files.

                    Kind Regards
