    Help! Urgent Problem!

    The Actinic programme will not open on my computer. I get the following error message:

    ODBC Microsoft Access Login Failed
    Could not use "|"; file already in use.

    When I click OK another dialogue appears requesting a login name (default admin) and password.

    I have tried rebooting twice but to no avail.

    Can anyone throw some light on this please?

    Hi Mark,

    What operating system are you using, if you are using Windows 2000 or XP, then try the following:

    Click on "Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrator Tools | Data Source (ODBC)".
    Here click on "User DSN" tab, and find and highligh "ActinicCatalog6".
    Now click on "Configure", and for the "Data Source Name", it should say "ActinicCatalog6" and the database should be located in "C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Site1"

    Please check to see if you have this

      ODBC Error

      Hi Nadeem,
      Thanks for that. Probably would have saved me a lot of time but in my anxiety last night to get the program fully functional again I ended up removing and reinstalling it which solved the problem. This info is very useful though should it occur again.
