linked external database

Hi,

this could be a stupid question, but when linking to an external database (primarily for stock monitorring) are changes made in the database automatically carried through to Actinic. And will actinic automatically update the database when orders have been recieved or would this have to be done manually?

Just wonderring whether it's even worth using a seperate database at all, or whether it's simpler to just use Actinic for stock monitorring.

If you have ticked the option that allows updates to the external database, actinic will update any linked fields in the external database rather than the local one. So if you have linked the stock level to an external database when orders are downloaded, the external stock level will be updated.
