    Bulk Changes to Product Layout

Is there a way of mass changing the layout setting on all products in a section?

I know that you can use "Use Parent" for the layout for each product and then just change the section layout, but is there a way to change all the layout settings of all the products in a section at once?

I tried highlighting all the products and then changing the layout but that only changed the last selected product (which has a dotted box around it as well as being highlighted).

In the product tab of a section you can define a layout to use. Or you can set it for undividual products

I know that, but at the moment we have products with different layouts in the same section. I want to know if their is a quick and easy way to change all the individual product layout settings (ie to "Use Parent") without having to access each product individually to make the change.

If you have different layouts for products within a section there is no simple way to set them all to the same without accessing each product - although you could cheat and re-name the default layout template you wish to use to have the same name as the template you wish to replace - this would be very messy but a quick fix if you don't have the time. Obviously make a copy of the product template you are replacing just in case!

Errrr, I think we'll do it the slow way . . . sounds safer.

          Thanks for the advice

You could do it in Access with a filter/find and replace. Only of any use if you know what you are doing

I haven't used Access enough to be confident doing that . . . thanks anyway.
