multicurrency site

I understand from Actinic that in order to accept payment in dollars as well as pounds I would need to set up a separate site.
The two sites would be exactly the same apart from the currency.
Does anyone know of an efficient way of managing the sites in parallel (e.g. so you only have to upload the pictures once) or will I have to copy the whole site each time I change it and convert all the prices?
Can you cut and paste sections and products from one site to another if you're using Developer?

If you are using business you can use external linking to keep the main details up to date, you define an external database and keep some of the product information in there, you then update that, link your actinic databases to it and things are a bit more automated.
