VAT Exemption Per Product

Hi

I will be selling products for which the customer can choose whether they pay VAT or not (on the basis of a medical condition) so I need to add a function for customers to declare VAT exemption on a per product basis. I know it can be done because I've seen it on other acatalog sites, but I just can't work it out myself. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

The only way I can see you doing this is by creating two products, one with VAT and one without and making one of them hidden on the website. Then add a component, attribute and the two choices for VAT or VAT Exempt. In the component click on the 'Permutations' tab and then on the 'Fill List' button to add the choices to the grid. Associate the relevant choice to the hidden product and make sure you tick the 'Tax from Associated Product' option.
