    Actinic doesn't start up

    I'm running ver 5 (business) in Windows 98 SE.

    When I click the Actinic button the program logo flashes on screen but the program doesn't start. I've tried clicking in Catalog.exe file and the same thing happens. I've tried downloading the update to 5.16 and installing that - still no joy.

    Anybody have any ideas how I can get the Actinic program to start?

    (I do have a backup I made of the Site1 folder)

    Hi there

    Try the following, as it may be an issue in the registry:

    In Windows, go to the 'Start' button and click 'Run' and then 'Browse'

    Browse to 'Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5'

    Highlight 'Catalog.exe' and then click on 'Open'.

    Now in the box it should say:
    "C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Catalog.exe"

    Simply after that type in /s "Site1"

    Therefore it should finally be:
    "C:\Program Files\Actinic ecommerce v5\Catalog.exe" /s "Site1"

    Click 'Run'
    If the above does not work, then you will need to remove and reinstall then go back to the backup
