Froogle errors after using mash

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with Froogle feeds?

After waiting 9 days for approval today the status changed to:

Critical Unable to process feed.

In the help screen the advice is to click on the feed file name in the alerts section to view the errors that occurred in processing your feed.

The data on that screen reveals

Product type: other
Action: Show this feed on Froogle
Encoding: utf-8
Delimiter: \t
Quoted Fields: No

Change these settings »


Feed pending content approval. Help »


The feed should be fine because I used the excellent Froogle Mash.

You need to change the feed settings and set the quoted fields value to yes.

It also looks as if you feed hasn't been checked over yet, it seems as if they check every product, checking that images are shown if appropriate, prices are exactly the same and so on. It can take 3 weeks or so to get the feed approved. Once approved, they don't really take much notice of it.

You say that "it seems as if they check every product, checking that images are shown if appropriate" I wonder if it's worth uploading a mini feed not including all my products? The feed I sent is 11k+ of products.

That would be a good idea, I think that they will then check new products when they arrive, but at least it you get say 100 though it should be quicker.

Once again thanks Jan,

In a moment of madness I changed the settings and sent the lot back up again .I guess if it fails again I'll do the 100 or so.
