IIS and Actinic on same box?

I have setup IIS on my server, which also houses Actinic. The idea was to be able to fully test (as opposed to the 'preview' actinic allows) my new actinic website as I develop it.

The proble is that having set it up (according to the IIS setup doc in the download section of the actinic site) it seems to fall at the first hurdle. When I do the network settings test fails the FTP test.

Is this because it is trying to FTP to itself? ie. actinic and IIS can't be on the same box for this to work?

if you host on IIS, then I guess it's ok - but I can't recall seeing any instructions on setting up IIS and Actinic on the same machine - there was an apache/perl for windows how-to floating around a long while back - Chris Dickens will probably be along with more useful information on Monday...

I would have thought it would be much the same setting up on a local box as on a remote server, if you specify the machines IP.

Have you installed and setup the FTP server on the box correctly, pointed it to the appropriate directory, assigned it the NIC IP?
