Act Business - customer accounts q

Hi,

Just wonderring whether its possible to automate the setting up of customer accounts in Business? Can customers set up their account and then buy a product all in the same visit? It looks to me like customers have to apply for an account which then as to be manually set up by us the shop - is that the only way to work it?

Hi Luke,

You are right, creating an customer account is a manual process. Actinic does not use an online database, hence the reason why customer cannot create the accounts online. If you download the advance user guide, on page 62, you have a section entitled: Allowing Customers to Register for Accounts Online.
You would still need to do some manual process where doing the customer account.
