    Web page appearance...too many spaces

    Hi

We are complete newbies to Actinic and would really appreciate some guidance on a design flaw with our website. Each item we sell has a photograph and beneath it a Add to Basket button, price details etc. The space below the photographs at present is way too large...probably by about 2-3" approx.

We didn't design our own site, but we now have sole responsibility for any changes to it, so would really appreciate any 'plain english' instructions/advice on how we could alter this.

Many thanks to all you experts out there!!!

    Hi Kevin,

The ease of altering the spacing depends on your knowledge of HTML. Depending on which product layout you have selected will depend on which template to edit. If the layouts are all the same Go to DESIGN | OPTIONS | LAYOUTS and PRODUCT TEMPLATES and hit edit - this will open your default editor and Act_ProductLine.html template.

The product image is placed in the finished page with a call by NETQUOTEVAR:PRODUCTIMAGE - look for this in the template and check if you can see any <br> tags in there...this is the usual culprit for additional spaces. Best to always save an original copy first just in case.

The templates are a little daunting at first so if you are really unsure ask your developr to remove the spaces or sent the code over and someone here will no doubt take a look and help you out
