Free Digital Download

A client wants to offer a free product within a site - all the products are govered by digital download. It is likely that the free product will be taken first and alone i.e. not with charageable products.

Whilst there could be a direct link to the free product the client wants to capture valid contact email addresses.

Is it possible to by-pass the processing to the PSP (Protx) on a zero value order?

Whilst a separate payment option would be possible, that doesn't prevent a customer including billable products under that category and then getting the download links without paying. (We don't really want to remove the link from the on-screen confirmation.)

Hi Bernie

If the product has no value (product and shipping) then you should not be passed onto protx at all. You should just go to the reciept page.

Nadeem: sorry for the delay in acknowledging your reply but I missed the notification message.

The nil price orders are now going straight to the receipt page. (I had seen elsewhere that people were setting a £0.50 level etc., but obviously V7.0.2 handles this OK.)
