Discounts on one product

Hi,

I need to set up a product discount such as - "Buy 6 or more of any one type of product and get one of the same product free".

I can't see a way of doing this other than putting each product into an individual product group which wouldn't be very convenient as there are a lot of products.

Does any have any ideas of a way around this ??

Hi there

Could you not do, "buy 7 for the price of 6". This would work in the same product group, so in "View | Discount and Surcharge Settings | Cart Content", and set it like the image attached. Maybe an easier way for you.

but I need it so that for example if they order 6 Red cars they will get an extra Red car free but not a blue car - where all cars are in one product group - this is so that I can apply bulk discounts as well.

Does this make sense ??

Yes that does make sense, i'm afraid if you want to do it this way, then you will need to use product individual product groups for product, just like the way you had written. To pick a specific free product.
