    Question about Up-selling

Currently over on our website www.comicdomain.co.uk we have been using Actinic Catalog as the basic shop, but we would like to include (if possible) something like Amazon's 'Recommended Reading'. Basically when a customer clicks to buy a particular product, one or more items are also listed as being 'recommended Reading' in the hopes the customer will part with more money.

Selling comics as we do, there's a lot of variety out there and new releases are purchased weekly. But we would like to 'Up-Sell' related Trade Paperbacks (TPs), so that our customers who may have missed a previous storyline, could by the TP in this collected edition.

However the Actinic Up-Sell is just a pull down menu, and we would love to actualy show the 'recommended' titles.

Does anybody have an idea on how we could do this? Has anyone using Actinic got a version running that we could view? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

I should also point out that we have tried using the 'Information Link' to point customers in the direction of back issues. So when a particular issue is half way through a continuing story arc, the customer can use the link to go directly to the back issue section for that specific titles back issues.

The above method works a treat, but we really wanted to 'show' the customers the more limited but related stock that we have on offer, that they normally would not pick up.

Try Norman's upsell patch at www.drillpine.biz. Works very well and only costs £75.00 per site. Should do the job.

AHA! Thanks Dave...from first impressions it seems like just the job - I'll have a read tonight and a play with the demo - thanks again
