Java Error

My client sent me the following email:
Over the last few weeks I have heard more and more complaints from customers trying to place their order online and getting right to the very last screen, they put in their card details and click on the finish button.

The little Java box tells them that it is contacting the host, and they wait….. and wait ….. and then wait for a really long time.

And nothing happens. It just freezes and won’t do anything else.

Also a few days ago they got this error
Following error has been displayed to a customer:

The order details sent by the Java applet do not match the order details stored on the web site. Your order has not been placed. If this problem persists, please use another payment method.

There are two possibilties

1) You need to do a 'Web | Refresh' to ensure your Java class files are bang up to date and all your encryption keys are correct

2) You customers do not have the Java virtual machine installed correctly on their machines. If other people can place orders OK then this is definitely possible. What operating system are they using?
