Help! file merge problem

Hi all,
I've just upgraded from V7.003 catalog to V7.003 developer all appeared well until I uploaded the site (complete refresh) then, as it came close to completion, I got the following error message "an error occured while sending the merge request" When I checked the site the left hand menu has stopped working along with a couple of other links on the index page. I have tried refreshing the site a couple of times but get the same results including the error message. Can anyone please help, a not too technical answer would be good as would avoiding another complete refresh (it takes 4 hrs)

This is a very common problem and you should do a forum search on 'merge' or others (Brian Johnson from Actinic USA posted a very good post recently on this problem).

I suggest you re-do your web refresh again to start with, as often that works fine the second time around from my own sites.

Beyond that, help from Actinic would be required.

For example the reason your left hand links do not work is because the script ss000001.pl is missing from the server. Check that all your 'Base' files go up when it is uploading.

Thanks, I did another complete (6hr) refresh and all appears to be well, must get broadband
