    Search Filters

Is there a way to apply pregressive filters to search results.

I would like customers to be able to do a search initially by either product brand or product type. Then, when they get the results, they can narrow this down by price range or color.

Currently, to do this they would have to reselect the initial filter aswell as the new filters each time they want to narrow the search.

Is there a way that Actinic can store the previous search and then apply any subsequent filters to these results?

This may be possible using JavaScript. The search results pages URL contains the search terms used.

E.g. searching for RED and KNIT, the results page URL contains ....&SS=red+knit&TB=....

You could add some JavaScript to the Search Results template that looks at URL, picks them out, and appends them to the new search term.
