As it is on our site at the moment, is it too small?

What do you think of the size in this age of compatibility?

I assume its easy to adjust, just having am outside look at the site and began to wonder...

There's actually a couple of 'site trends I'm a little uncomfortable with, small text is one, and light coloured text on a light coloured background is the other.

Not my eyesight may I add, just trying to see what problems others may encounter.

I'm no expert - but I think it looks fine as it is. Can't see any aesthetic reason to change it.
I love your site by the way - i'm a Watford fan, and will be visiting you as a regular punter soon!

Hmmm, noticed you've made your text just that little bit bigger though Nick, thats exactly the change I was thinking about actually.

And without wishing to change the direction of my own thread, thats a brilliant house plan thingy on your homepage (imho). Well, I have not seen one like that before anyway. :thumbsupicon:

how is the size of your text defined?

Normally text size can be overwritten by the browser.

On your site this happens correctly in Firefox, but not in IE

I think the font is fine. Thought I did reply maybe posts were lost with last weeks downtime.

You read a book at the same distance as the PC screen and text is books is generally smaller than on screen

Its just the default setting for the Smart theme. As I said I don't have a problem with it myself, but there seems to be a bit more attention given to the accessibilty of sites nowadays, hmmm, I wonder if there's a `minimum font size` recommendation anywhere.

As we all know, sometimes small issues like this lead to quite interesting, and usually helpful debate within the forum threads.

Funny you mentioned that as I am thinking of reducing the text size on mine as its starting to look abit messy!
