Can I suggest a change to Appendix I of the Starter Guide?

An important question/answer not covered at the moment is

Does the choice affect the shipping weight?

Yes - create separate product

No - proceed into the current flow....

I wasted a lot of time early on, adding attributes and choices before I discovered this little gem for myself.

Many thanks for this. That flow chart actually dates from the time before we carried shipping weights accross with components. I'll look at getting it updated for the next version.

Thanks Chris - thinking further - I guess the question should be "If you are using Shipping by Weight options - does the choice affect shipping weight?" since it's not a problem for people who ship by quantity or at fixed cost...
