Stock monitoring with choices

I have a product with choices set up (within a component so I can use stock monitoring). I set the product stock at zero and then set each choices to the appropriate stock levels. When I go to preview, it took away the Add to Cart button and says Out of Stock. I want it to do this but when there is no stock on the choice level not product. Am I missing something?

Help...we are suppose to go live this week!

Hi Cindy,

You would turn off stock monitoring on the main product and just leave the choices as being stock monitored. This is the way to achieve stock monitoring with choices.
