product drop downs - linking to Sage

All our products are entered into Sage Line 50 v11 and linked to Actinic v7.

I have particular product(s) that come in 7 or 8 different colours or finishes. These are all entered into Sage as individual product records for purchase ordering purposes.

The problem is when linking to Actinic, a page is filled up with 7 or 8 products for what is essentially one model type. All the descriptions, prices etc are the same, just different colours. Its a bit tedious for the customer to be scrolling up and down.

I want to display one main product (or a one default colour) in Actinic and have a drop down for all the colours but still link these colour options to their own corresonding record in Sage.

Is this possible?

Hi John,

The way you would do this in Actinic, would be to have a main product. That main product will have a component, attribute and choice What you can do in Actinic is to associate a choice to a hidden product, this is what you need to do.
